Source preference
Government, regulators, official retailer websites, and official loyalty-program pages are preferred for tax, measurement, deposits, consumer rules, flyer conditions, and program facts. Secondary sources may help locate an issue but do not replace a suitable primary source.
Sources are recorded with URL, page title, retrieval date, and the claim they support. CAFlyer paraphrases rather than copying long passages.
Dates and changing information
Evergreen pages show a published and last-updated date. Time-sensitive rules are described with a research date. Retailer offers, member programs, store participation, online channels, stock, and flyer dates can change; pages direct readers to the current official source.
Price comparison rules
- Use the exact package, net quantity, grade or format, and comparable unit.
- Separate ordinary, sale, member, coupon, points, and after-limit prices.
- State required quantity and total cash, not only an effective per-item price.
- Keep mass, volume, and count categories separate unless a real conversion factor is known.
- Consider usable quantity and likely waste when explaining household value.
CAFlyer does not claim guaranteed savings, a universally cheapest store, or a “best” retailer without defined, current, reproducible evidence.
Membership and loyalty conditions
Programs are not treated as interchangeable. The page identifies whether a price requires membership, a scan, sign-in, loaded offer, coupon, paid membership, spend threshold, or another current action. Points are not presented as instant cash unless the program applies them that way in the described transaction.
Human review and AI assistance
Human review checks the argument, calculations, cited support, links, and consumer-facing conditions before substantive content is treated as publish-ready. AI may assist with drafting, organization, calculations, and identifying possible issues. It does not create facts, approve live deals, invent sources, or replace the requirement to verify official claims.
Corrections
Readers can email info@caflyer.net with the page URL, issue, and public evidence. Material corrections should update the page and its last-updated date. A disputed or unclear claim may be qualified or removed while it is checked.
Advertising and independence
Phase 3A contains no real AdSense integration. If advertising or sponsorship is introduced later, it must be clearly labelled and cannot control factual comparisons, source selection, corrections, or editorial conclusions.
